Planned Projects for 2023

Water Pipes

Due to the deterioration of aging water pipes and quickly growing population, the water infrastructure is unable to supply enough water pressure to many communities .

We propose two water supply projects.

New pipes have been donated by International Rotary.


Malu’u Children’s Library

A children’s library will be created. The building has been secured and will be run by two school teachers.

There will also be classes for adult learning – six week course.


Coffee Planting

High school project

Objectives: Maintain plants for 4 years.

Harvest/Sell: Will provide income with the intention to start own businesses and build permanent homes.


Sewing factory – 6 workers

Supply sewing machines (including backup machines) and tables
Material rolls to provide lightweight clothing items
Simple patterns

Item’s to be sold at the market and the recently built wharf.


Tiling business

Facilitate the formation of a business to provide a local service to install tiles to wet areas of homes and businesses.

Provide:
4 tonne of tiles
Tiling materials


Donations

40 Bale bags of women’s clothes donated by local St John opp shop to be distributed in the women’s market
15 sinks for village
10 toilets
